What is MediaQue Request Line ?
Requestline is our first add-on
for the MediaQue product family. It's a powerful little
application that allows you to set up a small local
area network using low speed computers (P1-200Mhz
or better) that can simultaneously connect to either
a MediaQue Player or a MediaQue Server and request
media. Any kind of media can be requested and cued
up for play on the target MediaQue application.
This program can be used for
many situations where you might need to converse with
the DJ and request a song for your sweetie or your
dear old mom, you can add comments that get sent directly
to the DJ so he can announce the song and the person
it was intended for. For those of you who don't know
the song you want, you can walk up to a Requestline
station and surf through the "Top 500" or
the "Most Played" in a variety of categories
like "Rock", "The Eighties" "Dance"
etc....
Or... you can just use the powerful
search engine designed for MediaQue to quickly locate
the song(s) of your choice. When you find what you're
looking for, then add a comment to the DJ, and send
your request. Immediately the DJ will receive notification
of your request and he will have the choice of adding
it one of the many playlists he has to work with.
Requestline puts the control
in the hands of the DJ, he can play the request at
his leisure and when the song is cued and up for play
a large comment window scrolls the comments left by
the requester directly to the screen in large enough
text so that it can be read from a number of feet
away, no searching for a piece of paper with the name
of the person receiving the request, or forgetting
to play the song, as it's in the Cue and won't go
away until it's either deleted, played or cued.
MediaQue Requestline
can behave as a stand alone juke box that is smart
enough to remember the top 500 songs played on your
system, or you can flag specific songs that should
go on the top list. large plainly marked arrows let
you scroll quickly through the list of your choice.
